While we keep saying that our eyes are the most precious to us, sadly we are not seen caring much for them. In order to getting the most out of our work and entertainment hours, we keep gazing at our gadgets for hours without even giving our eyes the rest for a blink!
Do you know how much stress you put on your eyes while doing this? And then you may have to suffer from problems like dark circles, puffy eyes, reddening of eyes and declined vision.
Well, when your vision declines, you must visit an ophthalmologist and for the problems that are declining the looks of your eyes, you have to contact a plastic surgeon who performs surgeries, like droopy eyelids, puffy eyes, under-eye circles and bags etc. along with many other surgeries that enhance one’s looks like breast augmentation and reduction surgeries, rhinoplasty etc.
However, while considering the option of a cosmetic procedure we can try many other remedies at home that can subdue these problems. Here are some easy ones for you.
1. Rose Water
Rose water is known to offer coolness to skin and eyes. Put 1-2 drops of pure rose water in your eyes and it will not only cleanse your eyes effectively but also offer coolness and a natural glow to them.
2. Milk Cleansing of Eyes
Keeping your eyes clean is also essential to keep them healthy and beautiful because they too are exposed to dirt and dust just as the rest of our face.
While water is the best cleansing agent, you should use fresh milk to cleanse your eyes because it’s packed with nutrients too. Just dip a cotton ball in cold, fresh milk and clean your eyes with it.
Next, dip 2 cotton pads in milk and place them on your eyes and lie down for 15-20 minutes. Wash eyes with cold, fresh water.
Strawberry is known to be packed with antioxidants and several other nutrients. It has alpha hydroxyacid (AHA) which is best to reduce your under-eye bags and swelling along with keeping your skin smooth.
You have to just place strawberry slices on your eyes and lie down for 15-20 minutes and they will do their job.
Honey is known to cleanse your eyes and make them glowing. Just put 1-2 drops in eyes. Remember that there will be a burning sensation for a moment or two. But don’t panic; it will soon be subdued. Your eyes will fill with tears and any dirt will be drained with the water.
Honey has antibiotic properties too and so, it will eliminate any infection in your eyes and keep them clean and glowing. Wash eyes from outside a few minutes after you apply honey and leave it for 15-20 minutes and tears flow out.
Cucumber is known since ages as a coolant especially for eyes. Cucumber is a definite remedy for dark circles. What’s more, it also cures the dryness of under eye skin.
Applying cucumber is very easy. And you can apply it in a number of ways too.
One popular way is to just take two slices of cucumber, place them on your eyes and lie down peacefully for around half an hour. Cucumber offers its coolness to your eyes and they get the much desired rest due to which dark circles are reduced.
Another way to apply cucumber is to make a paste of a normal-sized potato and half a cucumber, both peeled, half teaspoon of turmeric powder and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Apply this paste to your dark circles and leaver for 15 minutes and then wash with fresh water.
